Framing is an essential part of presenting professional fine art to
the world. Questions arise about how ornate to go, how thick of a border
and whether to use a gold, brown or black frame. Frames are personal so
I don't take offense if a collector wants a different frame that what I
originally put on the art work. However, I do try to use what shows the
piece in the best light. I need your help with this 20 x 16 oil
painting of a horse at the Santa Barbara Mission. I put it in both a
black and brown frame. I know which one I'm leaning toward using. I'm
interested to know which frame you think works best with this painting.

Black
ReplyDeleteThanks Sergio. That seems to be the winner.
DeleteBrown. It's a softer look.
