Framing is an essential part of presenting professional fine art to the world. Questions arise about how ornate to go, how thick of a border and whether to use a gold, brown or black frame. Frames are personal so I don't take offense if a collector wants a different frame that what I originally put on the art work. However, I do try to use what shows the piece in the best light. I need your help with this 20 x 16 oil painting of a horse at the Santa Barbara Mission. I put it in both a black and brown frame. I know which one I'm leaning toward using. I'm interested to know which frame you think works best with this painting.
