Claude Monet's Grave

One of my bucket list items has been accomplished with a recent trip to Giverny, France. Seeing Claude Monet’s studio and two gardens was a highlight of my France trip. Being within an hour or so of Paris, it made it well worth the visit.  Our guide mentioned that Monet’s grave was at the church cemetery in town. It was well worth the 15 minute walk from his home. The church was open and it was surreal to walk inside as well as the grounds around his unassuming grave.

  1. So excited you got to stand and accomplish a dream on your bucket list, especially one so exasperating as Monet's bridge so often painted, and visit the grave.

    1. It really was an amazing experience. Seeing his studio was fantastic. I would love to go and paint there for an entire week.
